Beschrijving

Casa Caldesi is a farmhouse between Val di Chio and Valdichiana, just 8 km from the town of Castiglion Fiorentino endowed with shops and services of all kinds. In its picturesque medieval streets surrounded by ancient buildings, trattorias and typical Tuscan restaurants you will taste the most famous dishes of the country cuisine and good local wine.
The house is situated on the top of the Foce pass, in the tiny village of Caldesi, from where you can enjoy an incredible view of the Val di Chio, which with its green wooded hills connects the Valdichiana to the Valtiberina and the border with Umbria. From here you will be able to make easy day trips to Umbria, Lake Trasimeno, Arezzo, Sansepolcro.
The renovated old farmhouse comprises on the ground floor some rooms occasionally used by the owners and the two guest apartments on the upper floor. An external stone staircase leads to a private sun terrace furnished with table and chairs for dining al fresco. From the terrace you will find both the access to the flats and, by climbing a few steps, to the beautiful swimming pool (size m. 10x5, depth m. 1-1,40 - open from 11 May to 28 September), private and equipped with sun beds and umbrellas. It is on the terrace that you will spend your days at the farmhouse. In the sun or under the umbrellas, in the cool of the morning or in the breeze of the summer evenings. For your dinners with your friends there is also a barbecue and an oven with a typical wood-burning stove. Parking is available within the property. 
The farmhouse, in our opinion, is perfect for two couples as it is divided into two independent flats that have been designed to guarantee privacy even during a holiday with friends.
The furnishings are simple and comfortable, with some valuable pieces of local antiques, a family inheritance that Francesca, the owner, has carefully restored with respect for tradition.  And if you are traveling with four-legged friends, no problem, because the garden is completely fenced.

Going up a stone, external staircase you can reach the wide terrace-solarium where you find the entrance to the house which is divided into two independent units. The first unit with entrance on living-dining room with kitchen corner, bathroom with shower, two double bedrooms both with access to a panoramic balcony. The second unit with entrance on living-dining room with kitchen corner, bathroom with shower, double bedroom with access to the panoramic balcony.

Ein Ort voller Magie und Herzlichkeit, das ist Casa Caldesi in Arezzo. In einer äußerst gepflegten Umgebung, innen wie außen, kann man hier die Seele baumeln lassen und den Alltag hinter sich lassen. Die Besitzer haben uns regelmäßig mit frischem Gemüse aus eigenem Anbau und leckeren selbstgemachten Süßspeisen versorgt. Wir haben uns hier rundum wohl und willkommen gefühlt und die Menschen dort haben einen festen Platz in unseren Herzen. Vielen Dank für alles und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

A place full of charm and warmth, this is Casa Caldesi in Arezzo. In an extremely well-kept environment, both inside and outside, you can relax and leave everyday life behind. The owners regularly provided us with fresh vegetables from their own garden and delicious homemade desserts. We felt completely comfortable and welcome here and the people there have a permanent place in our hearts. Thank you for everything and we will be very happy to come back!

Un luogo pieno di magia e calore: è Casa Caldesi ad Arezzo. In un ambiente estremamente curato, sia all'interno che all'esterno, è possibile rilassarsi e lasciarsi alle spalle la vita quotidiana. I proprietari ci hanno fornito regolarmente verdure fresche del loro orto e deliziose torte fatte in casa. Ci siamo sentiti completamente a nostro agio e accolti e le persone che vi abitano hanno un posto fisso nel nostro cuore. Grazie di tutto e saremo molto felici di tornare!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in diesem Ferienhaus. Alles war sehr sauber. Die Vermieter sind freundlich und hilfsbereit und es gab regelmäßig frisches Gemüse aus dem Garten. Der Pool ist sehr gepflegt. Die Ruhe und der Ausblick rund ums Ferienhaus machen Erholung perfekt.

Es war unser 5 Aufenthalt in diesem Haus und wir werden es immer wieder buchen. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Vermieter sind super freundlich und das Haus sehr sauber.

Wir waren nun schon das vierte Mal in Casa Caldesi und haben uns wieder sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Vermieter freundlich . Was wir uns wünschen würden wäre das der Pool beheizt wird .

Casa Caldesi ist ein fantastisches Ferienhaus. Es ist herrlich in den Bergen gelegen, mit einer atemberaubenden Sicht auf die umliegenden Täler. Wanderungen oder nur chillen; alles ist möglich. Castiglion Fiorentino ist nicht weit; hier gibt es zahlreiche Lokale - von der Pizza bis zu traditionellen toskanischen Gerichten. Ausflüge in die umliegenden Städte, z.B . Montepulciano, Pienza, Arezzo, Cortona oder Orvieto sind kein Problem. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und haben uns mit allerlei Produkten aus dem heimischen Garten und Weinberg beschenkt. Das Ferienhaus ist eine klare Empfehlung. Wir können uns einen erneuten Aufenthalt gut vorstellen.

Hiking or just chilling; everything is possible. Castiglion Fiorentino is not far; There are numerous restaurants - from pizza to traditional Tuscan dishes. Excursions to the surrounding cities, for example Montepulciano, Pienza, Arezzo, Cortona or Orvieto are no problem. The landlords are very nice and gave us with all sorts of products from their local garden and vineyard. The house is a clear recommendation. We can imagine a new stay very well.

Wir sind sehr zufrieden gewesen, es hat alles super geklappt mit der Buchung. Die Gastgeber waren freundlich und hilfsbereit, also für uns ist klar , daß wir aufjedenfall wieder dort Urlaub machen.Das Haus ist super schön angelegt, sehr sauber. Het was fantastisch !! Mooi huisje boven op een berg met een mooi zwembad. Alles omheind dus ideaal met een hond en kinderen. Super lieve eigenaren elke dag brachten ze wel wat lekkers. Heerlijke tomaten, eieren en groente. 1 nadeel je zit midden in de natuur en het was er in onze tijd erg warm dus veel steekvliegen.

Super sweet owners they brought something nice every day. Delicious tomatoes, eggs and vegetables. 1 drawback you are surrounded by nature and it was in our time very hot so many swarms of flies.

We had a wonderful time at Casa Caldesi. Some friends and I were on a multiple country vacation, and had been go go go for over a week. The Casa was the perfect place to relax and just enjoy our surroundings. The home was very comfortable and the owners were so friendly and helpful. Each day we were surprised with homemade treats and fresh produce from their garden. Such a great treat. It was a nice break to be able to make dinner instead of eating out all of the time. Although we were a bit outside of town, we still close to beautiful historic towns and amazing wineries. After a 4 week long vacation, our time at Casa Caldesi was one of our favorite parts.

The owner of the house are unbelievable friendly, helpful and warm-hearted people. They gave us nearly every day something out of their garden (tomatos, grap, potato...) and help us when every hint was needed. Also the daughter (Francesca) is unbelievable friendly and helpful. She gave us together with her parents a lot of hints what to do or to visit. In addition some practical hints for traveling via train and others are beneficial for us. We feel like "part of the family" and we only can recommend this location without any restriction. Especially Francesca gave us the feeling that she stands by for question 24 hours per day. Her hints for markets, flea markets, restaurants, shopping centers, parking rooms in Arezzo etc. are valuable. This family is unbelievable, unforgettable experience for us (we stay there togehter with the complete family 2 sons in the age of 15 and 18 and they also very very well)

We had a lovely time, a nice house in a big plot with vegatables, fruit and a very kind couple attending. We were spoiled with fruit, cakes, wine etc. In the village you can vind everything you need, Cortona, Arezzo and Sienna nearbye. Umbrië, lago trasimeno and surroundimgs in acceptabel Distance. Car needed to go to shops for daily shopping.

We (2 adults, 2 kids < 3y) have just left after 8 nights at Casa Caldesi, having thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Although initially hard to find, once there we were greeted by our host and we were made most welcome. Our apartment was beautifully decorated, clean and very spacious for the 4 of us. Nice rooms with great beds and typical tuscany furniture. We enjoyed having a "nonna & nonno" as well as a dog and chickens around, and being in an working agricultural grove (olive, fruits, vegetables, wine) added to the attraction for both adults and kids. Despite our lack of Italian and the minimal English/French/Spanish of the "nonna & nonno" we enjoyed fresh eggs, fruits & vegetables nearly every day and besides the clean and wide pool - it all added to the fun of our holiday. We can recommend this place to anyone happy to look after themselves in quiet and beautiful surroundings but somewhat off the beaten track and city (dis-)comforts. Thanks to our gracious hosts - we are looking forward to visit Casa Caldesi again.
