The Pieve di Sant'Ippolito is a small outbuilding in the heart of the Crete Senesi. You will find it on the outskirts of the village of Asciano, in a panoramic and sunny position. The property is composed of the manor house where the owners' family lives, an annexe and the very ancient Church of "Sant'Ippolito e Cassiano", whose origins date back to the 3rd-4th century AD. Inside the church you can admire a beautiful fresco painted by several renowned artists of the Umbrian school, such as Pinturicchio and Raphael, but erroneously attributed to the Sienese painter Giacomo Pacchiarotti a minor artist of the Sienese school. On 13 August, for the feast of Saints Ippolito and Cassiano, the church will be open to the public and a Holy Mass will be celebrated there. During the rest of the year, being part of private property, the owners allow it to be opened only on rare occasions, while guests of the house will be able to visit it freely.
You will reach the village of Asciano, with shops and services of all kinds, by a pleasant walk of just a few minutes.
All around the house you will find a large, fully fenced garden equipped with children's games, a table tennis table, barbecue and tables and chairs for your outdoor meals. The beautiful round swimming pool (dimensions 13 x 8 m, depth 1.20 - 2.10 m) with water geyser, infinity edge with waterfall and 3-seater whirlpool bath will be at your disposal during the whole year. Near the pool there are two gazebos furnished with relaxing armchairs, table, deckchairs and sun loungers for your days of rest in the company of your favourite book. The village of San Giustino Valdarno with restaurants, bars and shops is about 1 km away and can be easily reached on foot with an enchanting walk through vineyards and olive grow.

Galleria di Brolio is an old stone farmhouse whose origins date back to 1800, located between two of the most important towns of the Valdichiana, Castiglion Fiorentino and Foiano, and which is now part of the owners' farm. You will find the farmhouse just a few kilometres from the two towns and in both, as well as various monuments and sites of artistic interest that are definitely worth a visit, you will have shops, restaurants and all kinds of services. The small historic centres of the villages will be a pleasant destination for your aperitifs or dinners at the restaurant.
The farmhouse takes its name from the Galleria di Brolio, a conduit that is still in operation today and is located on the edge of the olive grove. The conduit is part of the canal built between 1932 and 1940 to improve the flow of water towards the Arno, planned by the engineer Vittorio Fossombroni for the reclamation of the valley at the end of the 18th century.
Galleria di Brolio is situated on the edge of a wood of about 20 hectares of oaks and pines used as a hunting reserve for the repopulation of animals; they live here in the utmost freedom and if you love wildlife you will frequently see hares and pheasants running in the olive grove, the vineyard and even in the house lawn.
On the ground floor there is the apartment where the owners live, as well as a cellar and a shed for the farm's agricultural tools, while the first floor is reserved for you. The furnishings are very nice and comfortable, enriched with local antiques, and blend in perfectly with the old features of the house. Not far away, on the other side of the wood, passes the railway line that connects central Italy with the main cities of the peninsula (Florence, Bologna, Rome, Milan), so it will be easy to move around even without a car.
A few metres from the house, surrounded by silver olive trees, you will find a beautiful swimming pool completely fenced and for your exclusive use (size 11x5 m, depth 1.10-1.40 m - open from 01st May to 30th September), together with a gazebo equipped with garden furniture, which will allow you to shelter from the hot summer sun.
There is also a large pergola supplied with wrought iron furniture for eating outside, equipped with a barbecue and a wood-burning oven, for those evenings when you want to enjoy a pizza or a grill “al fresco”.
The owner, on request, will prepare excellent typical Tuscan dinners and pizzas in the wood-fired oven which, we are told by customers who have stayed at the house, are truly delicious.

It is not difficult, on summer evenings, to come across friendly hares, porcupines, roe deer or fallow deer.

The little house, in our opinion, is ideal for couples, even with children; if you wish to get away from it all, it will become your favourite place, you will only be disturbed by birdsong, and in the morning you will wake up to a wonderful view to greet you. At Casa nel Borgo quiet, tranquillity and the slow, lazy flow of the days will be the watchwords of your holiday. The nearest shops are in Castiglion Fiorentino, about 15 km away. And about 9 km away, in the lttle village of Santa Cristina, you will find a small grocery shop and a Tuscan restaurant. You will find La Casina del Bosco in an extremely panoramic position, nestled among silver olive trees in the beautiful, green Alpe di Catenaia. The little house is located not far from the mountain pass that joins the two valleys of Casentino and Valtiberina and will allow you easy day trips in both valleys, in search of monasteries and castles and small, ancient villages carved in stone and unknown to most people. The splendid view that you will see every morning from your windows overlooks the surrounding luxuriant woods, thickets of ancient chestnut and oak trees, where wildlife still reigns supreme. All this makes the place extremely peaceful and almost enchanted.
The house is reached by a small unpaved road (approx. 2 km), which we do not recommend taking with sports cars. About 8 km away is Subbiano, an industrious village with supermarkets, restaurants and shops of all kinds, whose origins can be traced back to Roman times. In the small village of Falciano, just 3 km away, there is a typical Tuscan restaurant where you can enjoy pasta, meat and traditional dishes that we are sure you will not easily forget.
18 km away is the ancient city of Arezzo, to which we recommend you dedicate at least one day, strolling through its paved alleys and beautiful squares.
The little house that you will rent is the result of a recent restoration, built with ancient local stone but above all a depository of very distant origins, it was in fact once used by shepherds who stopped there during the transhumance.

We recommend that you don't miss a visit to the nearby city of Arezzo, only 10 km away, to the works of art by Piero della Francesca, Giorgio Vasari, Cimabue, a walk along the narrow streets of the historic centre and a glass of wine enjoyed in the wonderful medieval setting of Piazza Grande.
The real icing on the cake here is, however, the breathtaking view from the very panoramic private swimming pool (size 5x10 m, depth 0.90-1.95 m, completely fenced in and equipped with sun shower - open from 1st June to 30 August). In the cool pergola, in front of the kitchen, equipped with wooden furniture and barbecue, you can relax and dine al fresco. If you book a holiday at Casale Aiola you will find yourself immersed in a modern farmhouse and forestry farm, surrounded by greenery and set in the total tranquillity of the hills on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, among age-old woods and picturesque valleys. Casale Aiola is an old stone farmhouse divided into two parts. In one part of the house lives the owner who, with his discreet presence, will be a sure reference point for any need.
The farmhouse is located about 25 km from the beautiful Cortona, in Tuscany and about 15 km from the village of Trestina, in Umbria. You can do your shopping in either Cortona or Trestina, both of which have shops, supermarkets and services.
From here you have easy access to green Umbria, with its small villages nestled in the lush hills and bucolic landscapes of Lake Trasimeno, Perugia is only 60 km away.
Similarly, once you have reached Cortona, the splendid towns and cities of southern Tuscany will open up for you to discover. From Cortona to the farmhouse the road is perhaps a little long, even though it is all paved. But once you are there you will be rewarded with the absolute tranquillity of the place.
In our opinion Casale Aiola is definitely suitable for groups of families with children. The large green space around the house is perfect for the little ones to run and play in the middle of nature. Also available, in front of the house, is a children's swimming pool (size m. 4x8 - depth 0.60 m., table tennis, table football, children's games and a bowling green. Pets are welcome (extra charge could be required).
For adults and children there is a large private swimming pool (size 9x16 m. -depth 1,20 m. completely fenced - open from 15 May to 30th September) with bathroom with shower and a small gazebo with fridge to cool down on hot summer days and the tennis court.

From the village of Castiglion Fiorentino, with its shops and services, following the suggestive road that crosses the entire Val di Chio and climbs the wooded hills and represent the natural border between Tuscany and Umbria, you will arrive at a small cluster of houses set on the slopes of the hill and overlooking a beautiful wooded landscape. The last stretch of road, about 200 m, is unpaved and sloping. La Casa del Nonno is a small, old stone house that is part of this original rural settlement once inhabited by farming families. Here you will find guaranteed peace; lazy summer days by the pool and in the solarium enjoying the sun, without hearing any noise except those of nature.
A careful renovation has brought La Casa del Nonno back to life. Rustic style furniture, old beams on the ceilings, the old fireplace in the living room, give it a warm atmosphere reminiscent of times gone by, when the house and the open fire were the shelter of the farmers after a hard day's work.
The house will be your own little nest, well-finished, comfortable and cosy and will immediately give you the feeling of being welcome.
In front of the house there is an outdoor area arranged on natural terraces connected by steps, completely fenced and equipped with garden furniture, barbecue and a small house with laundry. Casetta i Ciliegi is the ideal place for those who want to spend a holiday away from the hustle and bustle of city life and be in close contact with nature. Green woods, steep hills and cultivated countryside frame this beautiful house with a large, fully-fenced outdoor area where you can relax in the beautiful private swimming pool (size 7x4 mt, depth 1.20-1.50 mt - open from 01st May to 30th September) and in the porch furnished with table, chairs and barbecue.

The beautiful town of Cortona, with its stone alleys, Rugapiana and the Church of Santa Margherita, and the medieval town of Castiglion Fiorentino are both about 15 km away and have all the necessary shops and services. Casetta i Ciliegi can be reached via a scenic mountain road that is partly unpaved (about 4 km), not recommended for sports cars. Especially the first time it may be a little difficult, but once you get there you will understand that it is worth making a little effort to admire such a beautiful view.
