Here guests are welcomed into six charming units that reflect a rare and authentic form of hospitality: the Albergo diffuso—literally, a ‘scattered hotel’. Developed in Italy, this model revitalizes once-abandoned villages by blending comfort with local tradition in a truly immersive experience- in fact the "borgo" is a shared community between locals that live here permanently, and travelers that was born in the late 1980's.
Our collaboration with this placa was born to promote a network of local chefs, farmers, winemakers, guides, and hospitality professionals — all working together to create meaningful moments that we hope will make your stay one to remember.
My team (I am Tuscany) and I will take care of the accommodation side of your experience — from the moment you book to the day you arrive. If you decide to spend your holiday at Villa Leopoldina, you can stay in a historic building, a splendid example of a typical Tuscan house designed in the 18th century by the architects of Grand Duke Leopold of Lorraine, with the characteristic four overlapping arches on the façade. It will be a plunge into the past, when families were very numerous and these huge homes housed several generations under the same roof.
In front of the villa you will find the private garden and on the right-hand side the beautiful swimming pool (size 12x5 m, depth 1.40 m, completely enclosed - open from 01st May to 30th September). From here, every day, you can enjoy a splendid panoramic view over the city of Arezzo and its valleys, a view that becomes even more suggestive at night with the thousands of tiny lights that seem to chase each other. You will reach the centre of Arezzo in less than 10 minutes by car and here you will find all the necessary amenities and services, as well as museums, magnificent churches, cathedrals and monuments to visit.
One of the villa's bonuses is certainly its location. It is located within the Pomaio winery, a renowned winery that produces its excellent wines following the rules of eco-sustainability. Pomaio is listed as one of the 13 most beautiful Design Cellars in the Region of Tuscany for the Toscana Wine Architecture project, and this 'Green' philosophy was also followed for the renovation of the villa. In fact, thanks to the materials used, the villa has a high energy-saving rating, with positive effects both for the environment and for those who stay there in all seasons.
Therefore, in addition to living in the midst of an almost enchanted place, amidst splendid rows of vines that slope down towards the silhouette of the city, you will be able to taste the excellent wines in the wine cellar when you feel like taking a little walk and reaching it.
Villa Leopoldina is on two levels connected by a covered outdoor staircase. You will have two fully equipped kitchens, a washing machine and a dryer on each floor, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and satellite TV. Villa Leopoldina is your perfect location for a holiday with all the comforts on an authentic 100-year-old residence.
On arrival day you will have the opportunity to enjoy a dinner offered by the owners (for stays of a minimum of 7 nights) and a welcome basket for breakfast the following day. The property is set within a splendid 6-hectare estate that includes a vineyard, a beautiful olive grove, and a small orchard, while the fenced garden of approximately 7,000 square metres is home to centuries-old holm oaks, manicured lawns, rose gardens, rosemary bushes, and a variety of shaded relaxation areas. A stone-paved area between the pool zone and the entrance to the kitchen and living room features a beautiful pergola adorned with fragrant climbing jasmine, set up with tables, chairs, and a mobile barbecue, making it an ideal spot for alfresco dining and convivial gatherings. A second dining area is located at the side of the main entrance, where a long table positioned beneath the shade of centuries-old holm oaks invites guests to enjoy leisurely outdoor meals in a setting of timeless natural beauty. The non-heated swimming pool, open all year round, measures 25 by 5 metres with a depth ranging from 1.20 to 2 metres, and is entirely lined in tiles with edges in local white travertine. It features an infinity side, salt purification, internal lights, and 2 metal access ladders. Antica Villa Merelli is rented exclusively as a whole property, meaning that when booked in this configuration, no other guests will be present on site. Within the property lives a caretaker, a very discreet individual who remains available to assist with any needs that may arise during your stay. The rental price includes utilities such as water, gas for kitchen use and hot water, electricity, and heating, as well as weekly linen changes and initial and final cleaning. For stays of a minimum of 7 nights, 6 hours of mid-stay cleaning are also included. The property operates a Zer0Dep Guarantee, meaning guests are not required to pay a security deposit either on balance or upon arrival; instead, EuropAssistance coverage is provided in the event of accidental damage to the property during the stay, up to a maximum of 1,500 euros and subject to the limitations provided. Parking is available on the property grounds, with a 5-car uncovered parking area located inside the fence and an additional 5 uncovered spaces situated outside the gate, both within the property grounds. Agriturismo La Greppia is an old 17th-century farmhouse in typical Tuscan style. You will find it in the heart of the upper Arno Valley, on the slopes of the Pratomagno massif, surrounded by splendid olive groves overlooking one of the most beautiful and greenest valleys in Tuscany.
The three apartments retain clear traces of their origins, the exposed stone, the terracotta and wooden floors and the majestic beams, which will take you back in time, to the discovery of the region's rural customs. The furnishings, in typical rustic Tuscan style, make an important contribution to creating a charming and evocative atmosphere.
Inside the property there is a fourth apartment at the disposal of the owner and his guests.
Outside, you can benefit from a solarium equipped with garden furniture and umbrellas, and from an evocative, large swimming pool (size 15x6 m, depth 0.90-2.50 m - open from 01st May to 30th September) suspended over the panorama, from where you can be lulled by the enchanting landscape of the Tuscan hills.

Op 480 meter hoogte gelegen op een heuvel in het Toscaanse platteland, biedt de agrarische boerderij "Antico Loggiato" een uitzonderlijk vakantieverblijf in het hart van Italië. Het pand ligt 13 km van het centrum van Pontassieve en maakt deel uit van een complex met 4 appartementen. De boerderij beschikt over een gedeelde omheinde tuin die een veilige en rustige buitenomgeving biedt, en de ligging op een heuvel biedt een weids uitzicht over het omringende landschap. Het pand combineert het authentieke karakter van een traditionele Toscaanse boerderij met het comfort van een verfijnd plattelandsverblijf.
Buitenruimtes
Het zwembad meet 8 x 4 meter met een diepte van 150 cm en is beschikbaar van 1 april tot 31 oktober; het onderhoud wordt door de eigenaar en tuinman verzorgd. De omheinde tuin is voorzien van tuinmeubilair dat geschikt is voor ontspanning en buitendinen. Een barbecueplaats nodigt uit tot maaltijden in de open lucht, een tafeltennistafel biedt recreatiemogelijkheden voor gasten van alle leeftijden en een speelplaats met schommel is aanwezig voor jonge kinderen.

Il Casellino is een groot werkend agrarisch bedrijf in het glooiende Toscaanse landschap, gelegen op 460 meter hoogte, op slechts 5 km van het charmante stadje Loro Ciuffenna. Het bestaat uit een hoofdgebouw en een bijgebouw met in totaal 4 appartementen die landelijke authenticiteit combineren met comfortabel wonen. Het ligt verscholen in een rustige, afgezonderde positie omgeven door weelderige bomen en biedt gasten een ideaal toevluchtsoord voor rust en privacy in het hart van Toscane.
Buitenruimtes
Het niervormige zwembad meet 8 x 4 meter en is beschikbaar van 1 mei tot 25 september. De uitgestrekte, onbegrensde tuin is voorzien van weelderige gazons en volwassen bomen die een natuurlijk beschutte en vredige omgeving creëren. Een buitendouche staat ter beschikking voor gedeeld gebruik; een barbecueplaats is eveneens beschikbaar op gedeelde basis voor buitendinen. Wandelpaden zijn direct vanaf het terrein toegankelijk, met het dichtstbijzijnde pad op slechts 50 meter afstand.

Il Casellino wordt bereikt via een 600 meter lange steile en smalle weg; een auto wordt aanbevolen voor het verkennen van de omgeving en het bereiken van nabijgelegen dorpen en voorzieningen. Parkeerplaatsen zijn ter plaatse beschikbaar met een overdekt gebied voor voertuigen. Wi-Fi is beschikbaar op het terrein. Een wasmachine staat ter beschikking voor gedeeld gebruik tegen meerprijs.
