Villa Angiolino is een charmante halfvrijstaande landhuisvilla gelegen op een heuvel op 200 meter hoogte in het dorp Orneto, een middeleeuwse nederzetting waarvan de naam afstamt van "bosco di Ornielli" (Fraxinus Ornus), wat verwijst naar het bosrijke landschap dat het omringt. Het dorp floreerde dankzij zijn strategische ligging langs belangrijke handelsroutes, waaronder de oude zoutweg en de beroemde Via Francigena.
