In a few minutes by car you can reach the beautiful villages of Montefollonico (10 km) and Montepulciano (12 km), which are well worth a visit and a stop, where you can taste the typical dishes and above all the prestigious and renowned wines of the area such as the 'Nobile di Montepulciano'.
Villa Scianellone is surrounded by lush, silvery olive groves, vineyards and meadows that are part of the property. The outdoor spaces of Le Colombelline are as carefully conceived as the interiors, offering a seamless connection between the house and the breathtaking Tuscan landscape that surrounds it. The external dining area, positioned between the dining room and the private annex reserved for the exclusive use of the property, is shaded by a natural reed canopy in compliance with the landscape constraints of the area and is served by a barbecue. Located just a few metres from the kitchen and adjacent to the stone paving that leads to the swimming pool, this al fresco dining space is perfectly suited for long, convivial meals in the open air. One of the ground floor bedrooms opens directly onto a pergola facing the pool, where an outdoor sitting area invites guests to enjoy relaxing aperitifs with the Tuscan hills as a magnificent backdrop. The property is accessed via a wooden pedestrian gate with manual opening, and the 4-car open-air parking area is situated just outside the property boundary. The laundry room is located next to the parking area, accessible from the outside. In the downsloping part of the estate, young olive trees that have recently been planted, the vineyard, and hints of woodland typical of the hilly Tuscan landscape complete the picture. The spacious and well-equipped kitchen, featuring a Dekton countertop, an induction hob, an American fridge, a fully-equipped central island, an XL electric oven, and a large dishwasher, has a direct exit to the garden and is connected down 2 steps to the dining room, which in turn has a direct exit to the external dining area. If you decide to spend your holiday at Villa Leopoldina, you can stay in a historic building, a splendid example of a typical Tuscan house designed in the 18th century by the architects of Grand Duke Leopold of Lorraine, with the characteristic four overlapping arches on the façade. It will be a plunge into the past, when families were very numerous and these huge homes housed several generations under the same roof.
In front of the villa you will find the private garden and on the right-hand side the beautiful swimming pool (size 12x5 m, depth 1.40 m, completely enclosed - open from 01st May to 30th September). From here, every day, you can enjoy a splendid panoramic view over the city of Arezzo and its valleys, a view that becomes even more suggestive at night with the thousands of tiny lights that seem to chase each other. You will reach the centre of Arezzo in less than 10 minutes by car and here you will find all the necessary amenities and services, as well as museums, magnificent churches, cathedrals and monuments to visit.
One of the villa's bonuses is certainly its location. It is located within the Pomaio winery, a renowned winery that produces its excellent wines following the rules of eco-sustainability. Het landgoed heeft 2 gerestaureerde boerenhuizen, een hoofdverblijf dat af en toe wordt bewoond door de eigenaren, en een mooi gemeenschappelijk zwembad ( ca. 100 m. van de appartementen Vittoriana 1, 2 en 150 m. van Vittoriana 3).
Alle appartementen zijn mooi gemeubileerd in een rustieke stijl en hebben een gemeubileerde privé buitenruimte en een gemeenschappelijke barbecue.
De toegang naar de huizen gaat over een onverharde, maar goed onderhouden weg ( ca. 2 km) geschikt voor alle auto’s.
Afstanden: San Gimignano met alle winkels op 5,5 km, Poggibonsi 15 km, Volterra 30 km, Siena 50 km, Florence (vliegveld) 55 km, Pisa (vliegveld) 85 km, Lucca 90 km. Het kustgebied bij Cecina en Castiglioncello met de stranden op 85 km.
