Dit houten vakantiehuis ligt aan de oever van het meer Kalliojärvi in Hyrynsalmi, ongeveer 80 km ten noorden van Kajaani in het hart van Finland. Het huis, gebouwd in 1990, biedt een totale woonoppervlakte van 58 m² met een aanvullende bruikbare ruimte van 40 m² en is geschikt voor maximaal 8 gasten verdeeld over meerdere slaapruimtes. Het interieur beschikt over twee slaapkamers met elk een tweepersoonsbed, een slaapzolder met 4 bedden en een tweede zolder bereikbaar via een ladder met 2 aanvullende bedden. De hoofdwoonruimte omvat een goed uitgeruste keukenhoek en een comfortabele woonkamer, aangevuld met een wasruimte, een elektrische sauna en een open veranda.
Buitenruimtes
Het vakantiehuis ligt slechts 100 m van het meer Kalliojärvi verwijderd, een diep meer met een lengte van 3 km en een breedte van 500 m met een harde morainebodem; het biedt directe toegang tot het water en het gebruik van een privéboot voor vissen, roeien of ontspanning op het water. Een open veranda biedt een beschutte plek om te ontspannen met uitzicht op het omringende landschap. Een strandsauna van 6 m² aan het meer is beschikbaar voor exclusief gebruik gedurende het zomerseizoen van juni tot september. Een openbaar zwemstrand bevindt zich op slechts 300 m van het huis.
Praktische informatie
Het vakantiehuis is voorzien van een elektrische saunakachel. De tweede slaapzolder wordt bereikt via een ladder; gasten dienen dit in overweging te nemen bij het plannen van slaapruimtes, met name voor jonge kinderen of gasten met beperkte mobiliteit. Het huis is een houten constructie uit 1990 en weerspiegelt het klassieke karakter van traditionele Finse huisarchitectuur.

Laattajan hirsipirtti is traditional, atmospheric log house/log cabin in the middle of hilly landscapes in Northern Kainuu region. Location is approximately in the center of the triangle, which vertexes are Hyrynsalmi, Puolanka and Suomussalmi.
Log house is suitable for accommodation and for organizing small-scale parties and meetings. Log house has been renovated. Kitchen and WC (with shower) have been renovated in 2022.
There is a shower in the WC.
Two bedrooms, one with double bed, another with double bed, a single bed and a bed for a child. An extra bed in the living room.
Heating is provided by electric radiators in all rooms. In addition, the living room has a large baking oven and wood stove. The second bedroom has fireplace. The WC has floor heating.
In the yard, there is a separate sauna with wood-burning sauna stove. Washing water is traditionally heated in a cauldron. Firewood can be picked up from the woodshed in the yard.
In winter, the yard area is maintained (snow removal) with a tractor. In winter, there is a path on the snow leading to the sauna.
