Dit houten vakantiehuis ligt in het rustige Finse platteland van Savonranta en biedt een authentiek en vredig toevluchtsoord aan het meer voor wie een echte verbinding met de natuur zoekt. Het huis werd in 1940 gebouwd en in 2000 zorgvuldig gerenoveerd; het straalt rustieke warmte uit en biedt comfortabele accommodatie. Het pand staat slechts 40 meter van de oevers van het Saimaameer, ook lokaal bekend als Puruvesi, waar de zacht aflopende zandige bodem gemakkelijke toegang tot het water biedt. Het huis beschikt over een goed uitgeruste keuken, 3 slaapkamers en een kleine badkamer met bad en toilet. De slaapindeling omvat 1 slaapkamer met 2 eenpersoonsbedden, 1 slaapkamer met een tweepersoonsbed en 1 slaapkamer met een uitklapbed.
Buitenruimtes
De buitenruimtes vormen een hoogtepunt van het pand. Een privéboot staat ter beschikking voor verkenning van het uitgestrekte Saimaameer en Puruvesi. De sauna aan het meer, oorspronkelijk gebouwd in 1972 en oppervlakkig gerenoveerd in 2004, meet ongeveer 30 vierkante meter en vormt het middelpunt van de buitenbeleving. Het gebouw omvat een traditionele saunaruimte, een wasruimte met een ketel en een gezellige woonkamer met open haard, aangevuld met een terras met uitzicht over het meer. Koud stromend water is beschikbaar in het saunagebow; het gebouw beschikt echter niet over een douchefaciliteit. Verder bevinden zich op het terrein een houtschuur, een buitentoilet en een opslagruimte.
Praktische informatie
Het houten huis beschikt over 2 aparte in- en uitgangen. De kelder is uitgerust met een wasmachine en een vriezer. De sauna aan het meer werkt op basis van houtverbranding volgens Finse traditie; de wasruimte is voorzien van een ketel in plaats van een conventionele douche. Een houtschuur zorgt voor een voldoende voorraad brandhout. Een buitentoilet en een aparte opslagruimte zijn eveneens aanwezig op het terrein. Gasten worden verzocht het natuurlijke milieu en het traditionele karakter van dit historische pand tijdens hun verblijf te respecteren.
Afstanden en bezienswaardigheden
Savonlinna ligt 33 kilometer naar het westen; deze levendige culturele stad staat bekend om het middeleeuwse kasteel Olavinlinna en het internationaal gevierde operafestival. Het Saimaameer, een van de grootste meersystemen in Europa, begint op slechts 40 meter van het pand en biedt directe mogelijkheden voor zwemmen, bootvaarten en vissen. De wateren van Puruvesi staan bekend om hun uitzonderlijke helderheid en kwaliteit. Dit charmante houten vakantiehuisje ligt aan de oevers van het meer Suurjärvi in Sulkava, ongeveer 38 kilometer ten westen van Savonlinna. Het huisje is gebouwd in 2013 en biedt een warm en authentiek verblijf voor wie een echt Fins lakeside-ervaring zoekt. De begane grond beschikt over een goed uitgeruste keuken, een woonkamer, een slaapkamer met een tweepersoonsbed, een elektrische sauna en een doucheruimte. De eerste verdieping, bereikbaar rechtstreeks vanaf het buitenterras, omvat een woonkamer, twee slaapkamers van elk 7 vierkante meter met elk twee bedden, en een privébalkon.
Buitenruimtes
Het vakantiehuisje ligt slechts 30 meter van het meer Suurjärvi af, dat een breedte van 0,5 kilometer en een lengte van 1,5 kilometer heeft met een zand-modderige bodem die ideaal is voor zwemmen en ontspanning. Een privéboot staat ter beschikking voor gasten om de rustige wateren te verkennen. Het ruime terras van 28 vierkante meter op de begane grond biedt een uitnodigende ruimte voor buitendinen en ontspanning, terwijl het balkon op de eerste verdieping uitzichten biedt op het omringende natuurlandschap. Een speciaal barbecueterras is uitgerust met een houten grill, een visrokerij en een elektrisch stopcontact voor buitenkoken. Een apart saunagebeuren van 10 vierkante meter, gebouwd in 2008, is beschikbaar van mei tot september en beschikt over een houtkachel, een verwarmingstank, een pompinstallatie voor meerwater en elektrische verlichting.
Praktische informatie
Het vakantiehuisje beschikt over mechanische ventilatie. Wi-Fi is beschikbaar; er is een carport en een kelder ter plaatse. Het tapwater bevat ijzer, wat verkleuring kan veroorzaken, maar het water is veilig voor consumptie; gasten kunnen desgewenst hun eigen drinkwater meebrengen. Een borg van 150 euro is vereist en dient contant bij aankomst te worden betaald. Het apart saunagebeuren is alleen beschikbaar van mei tot september.
