Dit authentieke blokhuis ligt in het ongerepte natuurgebied van Suomussalmi in Finland en biedt een echt Noordse toevluchtsoord voor wie een echte verbinding met de natuur zoekt. Het huis werd in 1991 gebouwd en biedt plaats aan maximaal 4 gasten, verdeeld over een begane grond en een slaapzolder. Het interieur omvat een gecombineerde woon- en keukenruimte, een slaapkamer met 2 bedden en een slaapzolder van 15 vierkante meter met 2 matrassen, bereikbaar via steile trappen met een laag plafond. Een wasruimte en een traditionele elektrische sauna completeren de binnenvoorzieningen.
Buitenruimtes
Het huis opent uit op een open veranda waar het uitzicht op de omringende natuurlijke omgeving kan worden genoten. Het blokhuis ligt slechts 35 meter van de oevers van het meer Pesiönjärvi, een prachtig wateroppervlak van 8 kilometer lang en 5 kilometer breed met ondiepe wateren en een vaste kleibodem, wat het bijzonder geschikt maakt voor veilig zwemmen en waden. Een privéboot staat ter beschikking voor gasten om het meer zelf te verkennen, of het nu voor rustig roeien, vissen of eenvoudig drijven op het kalme water is.
Praktische informatie
Een rooksauna is op aanvraag beschikbaar en biedt een uitzonderlijke en traditioneel Finse badervaring. De slaapzolder wordt bereikt via steile trappen en heeft een laag plafondoppervlak; dit dient in aanmerking te worden genomen bij het samenstellen van de groep. Alle huisregels, check-in en check-out procedures en aanvullende regelingen dienen direct bij boeking te worden bevestigd.

Het blokhuis ligt ongeveer 120 kilometer ten noorden van Kajaani, een regionale stad die als praktisch referentiepunt dient voor reisplanning en toegang tot bredere diensten, winkels en vervoersverbindingen. De directe omgeving biedt een overvloed aan buitenactiviteiten, waaronder varen en vissen op het meer Pesiönjärvi, wandelen, wildlifewaarneming en verkenning van de uitgestrekte bossen en natuurlandschappen die dit uitzonderlijke gebied in Noord-Finland bepalen.
