We hebben een fantastische week gehad met een zeer vriendelijke eigenaar die al onze vragen en wensen perfect heeft opgelost!
We hadden niet begrepen dat het zwembad dicht was...dachten dat alleen de jacuzzi per 1 oktober dicht was. Wel teleurgesteld. ..maar de eigenaar ging nog wel om ligbedden voor ons! Super!

We did not understand that the pool was closed ... we thought that only the jacuzzi was closed on 1 October. Disappointed. ..but the owner was still getting sunbeds for us! Super!
The Villa was wonderfull and so was the owner downstair. However, we had to deal with a sub agent which was situated in the next town....not to far in distance but 45 minutes. No one wanted to greet us at the Villa so we had to detour at their office to pick up the keys and to return the keys. They were not very accomodating and I was not impressed with their services. The Villa again, was great however.
Villa Il Nido was a beautiful villa - We stayed in Serendipity during the first week of October. The property surrounding the villa was beautiful, well-maintained and we had a spectacular view. The inside of the house was also very nice and was certainly very roomy, although we did only have 4 adults staying there. Paulo was an informative host and provided plenty of info on things to see and do in nearby towns. Castelnuovo was a very short (at most 5 minutes) drive away and you could even walk to town but the walk back involved going up a fairly steep hill. Still, it was definately worth being up where we were for the view and the peaceful setting. As far as location, I enjoyed being in Castelnuovo in that it was a little off the beaten path - there was still plenty to do close by and other larger cities were not too far away, although the only one we went to while there was Lucca - our original intent was to take it easy and just enjoy the outdoors and dining available to us in Tuscany, which we did. There were plenty of restaurants in Castelnuovo but we did try to get out and try a few in neighboring towns also. Overall, I would recommend the villa to anyone wishing to stay for a while in Tuscany and would love to return sometime.
Villa Fabbroni is truly heaven on earth. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Stefano and Sergio could not have been more wonderful hosts. From the house made wine and olive oil, to cooking classes, to the amazing homemade dinners, everything was exceptional. They go above and beyond to make sure that you feel like you are part of the family. It was the first place I have ever gone on vacation that I did not want to leave. I literally have nothing even remotely bad to say about Villa Fabbroni (except that maybe the drive up is a little nerve-wracking -- luckily everyone who drives up that hill were all gracious and took it slow). Thank you so much Stefano and Sergio for a dream vacation! We can't wait to come back!
Its a wonderful apartment, furnitured with great taste, in a wonderful landscape at the beginning of the Crete, close to Siena. Perfect for anyone who looks for a exceptionally calm, harmonic place to come home to after a wonderful day admiring art and life style in the Toscana. The owners are very nice and always reachable. The appartments are very well kept, everything functions perfectly, everything one needs is there, also things not that usual for Italy e.g. towels, bedsheets, kitchen equipment and so on. We spent a fantastic week there and already think about coming back one day...!
This apartment was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. We enjoyed it immensely - but much of the enjoyment was its location, on the grounds of a working winery. The views are breathtaking. The only difficulty is the access road, but once you've traversed it, it becomes much less daunting. We were in and out of the property every day, and access became a non-issue. Proximity to San Gimignano made things very easy (there's a supermarket there, along with some very good restaurants) and access to other tourist attractions was great. The hosts, Andrea and Claudia, and David, our wine expert, made us feel welcome. We would return for another visit in a heartbeat.
This villa is exactly how you would imagine a Tuscan villa! Gorgeous, well maintained, and perfect for a large group or family. The chef was fantastic and the views cannot be beat! Only thing -even if you don't think you need a car, you do. The train station is only about a 20 min walk, but it's not an easy walk. Other than that - do not hesitate to book this villa, you will not be disappointed!
