Lovely building on the outside and all looked great from the photos, but inside was outdated, everything was very old and not kept very well. The Internet was also very very slow.

Zeer moderne woning. Mooi uitzicht op de Chianti-heuvels en San Gimignano in de verte. Heel groot zwembad dat garant staat voor uren zwemplezier.Minpuntjes zijn de stoet familieleden en vrienden van de verhuurders die eveneens gebruik maakten van het zwembad en het feit dat het bovengedeelte van de woning veel vensters bevat zonder goede zonnewering waardoor het zeer warm werd en airco verplicht diende ingeschakeld te worden.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Very modern home. Nice view of the Chianti Hills and San Gimignano in the distance. Very large pool guarantees hours of swimming pleasure. Minuses are the the many relatives and friends of the landlords who also made use of the pool and the fact that the upper part of the house contains many windows without proper sun protection making it very hot and you really needed to turn on the air conditioning.

we had an excellent time in Umbria and used the location as a base to discover the area around. the vineyards and local restaurants offer great choice and quality... We were very well received and assisted (by Mr Igor ) throughout the time we spent at Solina.

Don't expect a modern environment ...
The House is very spacious and has a very Typical as well as personal character , which feels almost as if you know the owners, due to the photos, paintings and furniture there.
the level of cleanliness was very good

The Garden and pool are really nice, well maintained as well (and cleaned every day).

one item of caution would be in relation to the local wildlife ;

Mosquitos & wasps were bountiful ... Little Lizards and a few Scorpions as well as snakes (even if we were told that they are harmless, you should be prepared for an eventual encounter).

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine. La maison est très agréable, fraîche. Elle est située en haut d'une colline, au calme, la vue est très belle. Très bien située pour visiter la région.
La piscine était super.

Nous avons passé 2 semaines formidables à San Gimignano : un temps magnifique, un accueil chaleureux des propriétaires Nadia et Roberto, l’appartement impeccable dans un endroit tranquille et idyllique avec une vue imprenable sur la Toscane !
La location est très bien située, elle permet de visiter les grandes villes de Toscane (Pise, Florence et Sienne) et de faire des circuits touristiques dans les petits villages typiques du Chianti.

The villa was lovely but had a few drawbacks like the broken glass in the lawn next to the eating area; the whirlpool did not work and the neighbors two dogs barked from 4am onwards. The staff were nice and helpful and one can drive to some amazing locations nearby.

We very much enjoyed our stay. It is a wonderful location close to both Pienza and San Quirico by car. There is a beautiful view from the pool and we were in swimming a lot to cool off (it was very hot during our stay). Grocery shopping is best in San Quirico at the Co-op. Friendly and very helpful owner. The apartment was spacious with good sized bedrooms and well-equipped kitchen.
