We researched different areas and villas and farms for weeks before settling on Fattoria Le Poggiola. It was even better than I had imagined it would be. The farm was a little tricky getting to as there are many little roads and not all signs are easy to find/read but once we found it, it was ok. The long driveway leading up to the farm house from the highway takes you away from the roads and up into the gorgeous Tuscan countryside. The land itself is beautiful: hilly and varied terrain containing olive groves, vineyards, beautiful trees and flowering plants, grassy areas, tree covered patios, and gravel around the back of the farm. There's a path through the vineyards and groves that takes you to their little lake. From everywhere you can see the Tuscan hills and mountains. The house is cozy and beautiful, and very well loved and taken care of. The 4 children stayed on the third floor in 2 very nice bedrooms. They shared a roomy bathroom. It was very warm up there but the fans and open windows made it comfortable enough at night. My sister and her husband and myself and my husband stayed on the 2nd floor in 2 of the 3 bedrooms. The bedrooms were quite spaced apart, giving each of us plenty of privacy and comfort. Everywhere were wooden windows and shutters that could be opened up to allow air flow. We stayed during a particularly hot period in July but slept comfortably with windows open and ceiling or standing fans on. Everything was decorated very prettily, each bedroom having its own color and theme. There was a kitchen on the 2nd floor, however, we didn't use it. There was also a washing machine in the kitchen. My parents stayed on the 1st floor, downstairs, in the largest, Arancione, bedroom. The stairs are stone and quite steep, especially between the 2nd and 3rd floor. To me, it all added to the charm of the farmhouse. The "living room/dining room" contains a long table with chairs. It's a dark room unless you keep all the shuttered windows and backdoor open. We didn't really sit there as we always sat outside. The kitchen was a large, comfortable professional kitchen. The stove and washing machine are quite different from what we were used to and required a little extra explanation, but no problem. It was fun to stand in the kitchen and prepare our meals all together. The kids had a great time playing ping pong tennis outside (2 ping pong tables) and swimming in the pool. Lisa Barsi, the owner, was extremely helpful and friendly. She gave us a lengthy, detailed tour of her vineyards and the wine making cellar. Afterwards, we tasted the wines and had delicious cheese, meats, and bread to go along with her wines. We loved the Cuo Nero and the 2005 Chianti!!! Please be aware that the charge is 15 euros/person for the wine tour. Sitting outside together, amidst all the beauty and wonderful air, we felt like staying forever. I can't say enough good things about the property. Be aware that you must pay for the pool towels and any EXTRA towels you ask for beyond the towels that are laid out in the bedrooms. Plenty of bath towels are provided for you upon arrival. The washing machine (small capacity) can be used free of charge. Please be aware that you need to buy all your own water to drink as it's not advised to drink the water at Le Poggiola. There's a small grocery store in Monsummano (5 minutes) and a large, very nice grocery store in Montecatini (10 minutes).

Riccardo and Simonette are the homeowners and they are fantastic. The villa was impeccably maintained and the owners were incredibly helpful and friendly. The property is absolutely stunning and we all wanted to take the cook home! If you have the opportunity plan at least one meal in and select from the villa's menu -- you will not be disappointed. This property is centrally located to everything! We day tripped Rome and Venice from our villa via the Italian train and it was simple and easy to get around. The most fun we had however was staying close to the villa and visiting the small towns scattered around the Tuscan region. The views from the home are spectacular and will be definitely be heading back.

One word of caution -- no air conditioning at this villa which is not unusual however when we were there the tempertures exceeded 100 degrees F. There is simply no way to air condition this beautiful property but come prepared to deal with standing fans. Also the road leading to the villa is unpaved and remote so take it slow or you will end up with all kinds of rock dents and dings and make sure you look for the villa in the daylight. You must try the wines of the property as well -- they are special.

I had a terrific experience finding our villa and renting it through EasyReserve. EasyReserve was clear and simple, the representatives were responsive to questions, and most everything turned out as described. I turned to EasyReserve when I couldn't find a good travel agent that seemed to be able to help me find a villa. We rented Villa Li Galli not far from Sorrento and Positano. The property is beautiful! I tried not to get up my hopes and expect it to be as nice as the photos, but it was just as nice as the photos, if not better. The pool was such a treat, and stayed clean and swimmable the whole time. We really appreciated the cleanliness of the entire property and the care taken to keep the patio and outdoor spaces immaculate, which we used a lot. Under description, the villa shouldn't be advertised as fully air conditioned. There is only a/c in two bedrooms. The rest of the villa including the third bedroom is not air conditioned. The small third bedroom was unbearably hot. We could have been briefed a little better upon arrival about the mosquitoes/black flies. Because the villa was so hot, we left windows open the first two nights only to be eaten alive by these creatures that left horrible welts all over us. We finally figured out we had to keep the villa tightly closed from late afternoon on, and use bug devices and bug spray liberally -- but if this had been explained to us upfront we could have avoided the pain of the first few days (and come equipped with bug spray)! But having to keep the villa closed made it even hotter. We asked the owner for a fan for the third bedroom and she brought one halfway thru the week and that helped a lot. Fans should be left permanently onsite for this issue. The villa is conveniently located and we found it a great base to visit Sorrento, Pompei, Positano and other vistas. We had to learn to navigate the tiny narrow cliffy one-lane road (with two-way traffic) up to the villa but managed to do so. Rent a small car! We loved having the small restaurant at the bottom of the hill to walk to and get pasta. The two bathrooms were huge and luxurious by European standards. We were delighted to find an outdoor shower by the pool area. We used the washing machine a lot. There was an extra toilet in the laundry room separate from the house, which was nice! We were also surprised to have internet Wifi access on site. We enjoyed that previous renters had left a few goodies like an unopened bottle of wine. We reciprocated upon our departure and left some items that hopefully will be enjoyed by the next. The owner was very nice and responsive. We had a problem one day when two of us had shampoo in our hair showering for a nice dinner out and the water completely stopped for about 18 hours! No way to wash out the soap and no use of bathrooms or anything during this time. We contacted the owner and there wasn't much she could do because there was a reservoir problem of some sort, but she responded quickly and kept us abreast until the water came back. She also kindly helped us book our final taxi back to Sorrento (I would have had no idea how to tell anyone how to find the villa). She was very sweet and responsive. The villa came equipped with clean linens, towels, dishes, pots, most everything one would need to be at home. The cleaning crew came halfway through the week and did a great job. The views from the villa are breathtaking. It's so peaceful there. We enjoyed visiting the towns nearby to visit the markets and do our shopping for our cooking. The local rental office was very nice and responsive when we needed something. Having the 24 hour cell phone numbers and the owner's direct number was helpful. It was a terrific experience for us and we made so many memories. I would definitely like to visit again. I would recommend EasyReserve as well as Villa Li Galli. If I can attach photos later when I have them on the computer, I will do so.

The villa is nicely located in a pinewood. The owner has thoughtfully organised the apartment giving attention to every little detail. It is a very clean and light house, outside with a beautifull dining space with a marble table and arbour. The sea and the beaches are very close and both very clean - you can have access to private or public beach as well. However the sea has a long bathing area, which is nice for small children - but you have to walk a bit until you reach a point nice to swim from. Overall the resort is very small and ideal for families with children and may be adolescents. There is an open air cinema, fun park and quite a few restaurants. The Supermarkets are within 10 minutes of car drive.

Beautiful villa and wonderful hosts. Better than the pictures. Great view of valley below and hill top church. Quiet, relaxing, wonderful large pool, extremely spacious and very well cared for. Only 5 min to Autostrada. Perfect for visits to Lucca, Pisa, and Firenze if you can drag yourself away from the pool!

Enchanting villa in Tuscany! One of the best holiday's we've ever had because we were living under the Tuscan sun. Remote, quiet. Owners had the place spotless and it looked exactly like the pictures. Would definitely recommend this one.

wij waren tevreden over het huisje, zeker de ligging was erg mooi en rustig. Jammer genoeg was het restaurant niet open waardoor je toch enigszins geisoleerd zat. Omdat er verder nog niet zoveel gasten waren, hadden we het hele domein en zwembad voor onszelf, wat een luxe was. Ik kan me voorstellen dat het minder prettig is als er teveel gasten zijn: die moeten nl steeds door je "tuin" om naar het zwembad te gaan. Wat ik wel jammer vond is dat het lastig was om de eigenaresse vast te krijgen; voor dingen als nieuw linnen en handdoeken was dit soms niet fijn en vond ik haar niet echt betrokken of geinteresseerd. Zeker omdat wij de enige gasten waren, hadden we dit wel verwacht op zo'n kleinschalig domein. Maar het was zeker goed vertoeven daar voor de prijs, we waren er met ons zoontje en ondanks dat het huisje kein was, toch prima te doen.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We were happy with the house, especially the location was very nice and quiet. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open so you are somewhat isolated. Because there were not many guests yet, we had the whole area and pool to ourselves, what a luxury. I can imagine that it is less pleasant if there are too many guests, who will need to walk thourgh your "garden" to go to the pool. It was difficult to get hold of the owner which was a pity, just to determiner things like new linen and towels - sometimes it was not nice and I found her not really involved or interested. Especially because we were the only guests, we expected this at such a s small residence. But it is certainly a good place for the price, we were with our son and even though the house was small, it was doable.

Our stay at Villa Cortona was absolutely lovely. The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean and the grounds are absolutely lovely. The staff at the villa were very welcoming and offered to help out with dinner recommendations, etc. I will definitely be going back to spen more time at this glorious property!
