Uitstekend 5 /5Çasa Delle Antiche Rose was a great find. The owners were wonderful and the house was outstanding. The wisteria was blooming when we arrived and the fragrance was amazing! The roses were just starting to bloom too. We visited in late April, 2012 and the house was roomy, well maintained and well stocked. The owners even left us a wonderful "Welcome Basket" filled with goodies and wine to start our stay off well. We would love to come back again soon!
There is only one suggestion and that would be to post the GPS coordinates on the site. We took Pontassieve Sud instead of Pontassieve Est (toward Rome) and got lost, but the locals were helpful and once we found the villa....it was amazing. Also, Stefania is a great artist and has lovely paintings throughout the house.
This villa is great for families too. It has many rooms and bathrooms which was great for our family trip. We had 3 couples and our mom and everyone had their own room and bathroom, which is very hard to find in Europe. Our favorite past time was dining on the patio and enjoying our family in the gorgeous Tuscan outdoors.
We definitely recommend Casa Delle Antiche Rose and look forward to another visit soon.
