Although the farmhouse was very comfortable, I do not believe I would book it again for vacation. Our party arrived on Wednesday around 1:30 pm. The family downstairs was very gracious in allowing us to wait in the courtyard until someone came to let us in the farmhouse, approximately 30 minutes even after I had forwarded our arrival time. That was not too bad, but when we attempted to wash our dinner dishes later that day or take a shower we discovered NO HOT WATER. This was relayed immediately to the owner. He stated he would have it fixed the following day. Upon arrival again back to the farmhouse the next day w discovered we were still without HOT WATER. Again owner contacted and were assured it would be fixed. Friday morning after we COLD SHOWERED sgain we returned that evening to find at last we had HOT WATER. During our four day stay at this villa I was only able to receive ONE HOT SHOWER on Saturday morning, the day before we left. For this reason I would not return o this villa.
[Counter comment from the owners] The house has been thoroughly cleaned during the morning of arrival, after the departure of the other guests. Neither the previous guests, nor the cleaning lady told me about problems with the hot water. On September 25, at 9.06 am I received the email from the guests informing me about the failure of the boiler. I immediatly alerted the maintenance technician that arrived shortly after, he went to the property and found the malfunction of the boiler, presumably due to a supply of "dirty" gas , and he cleaned the nozzles. When he finished the job, the boiler worked fine. On September 25 at 21.55 pm I received the email in which the guests informed me that the hot water was lacking again. On 26 September in the morning, the technician went back to the property, completely cleaned the whole boiler and now it is functioning very well. I am sorry about what happened and I understand the disappointment of the guests, but certainly I acted immediatly to resolve the problem, so much so that I sent a technician 2 times in 24 hours; the problem of the "dirty" gas was caused by a third party, the supplier of the gas.
